SUSAN HAGEN
Ms. Hagen has described the intent of her work as one of combining layers of meanings in a rich and complex object. There is an earnest exploration of the meaning of myth in contemporary urban experience. Her pieces are carved in limewood and painted in deep colors with luminous oils that follow the contour of the cut wood.
